Served up on the new display table in your base, one of the Fortnite Brutus’ Briefing challenges sends you off to the edges of the map, where you’ll need to land at three specific places at the start of a match – unless you use the glider redeploy in Team Rumble, that is. Hopefully by now you’ll know where Lockie’s Lighthouse is, and if not then it isn’t exactly difficult to pick out due to its height above the surrounding landscape. Tracking down Fortnite Apres Ski is trickier as it’s a fairly recent addition to the Fortnite landmarks, so to land there you want to head just southwest of Misty Meadows and look for the large wooden lodge with a neon “Dance” sign emblazoned on the front of fortnite v bucks generator. This just leaves Mount Kay, which is the middle (and tallest) of the three mountain peaks, so open your glider earlier to make sure you can hit the top without dropping too far first. Epic Games has added a purchasable “Never Gonna” emote

It’s not uncommon to troll your Fortnite enemies with a victory dance, but the latest one might be particularly insidious. Epic Games has added a purchasable “Never Gonna” emote to the battle royale brawler that, as the name implies, Rickrolls your opponents — complete with the real Rick Astley song (and, clearly, Astley’s permission). The developers has even pranked some potential buyers with a promo page touting a “new OP outfit” before taking them to the emote, guaranteeing that they’ll be Rickrolled before spending 500 V-Bucks to share the surprise with others.

Astley has told gamers to get the emote “while you can,” so you might not want to count on it lasting forever.

It’s easy to see the emote losing its novelty quickly. It’s one thing to get a “Never Gonna Give You Up” blast every now and then, it’s another to hear it every time someone takes you down in a firefight. Still, it shows how Epic’s free v bucks generator attitude toward recognizable emotes is changing. Where celebrities previously accused Epic of ripping off famous dances without so much as a “thank you,” the company has just released an officially sanctioned dance. It’s a fantastic way to rotate out of the storm while taking as little damage as possible.

We’re in the fifth month of Fortnite Chapter 2, but players are still finding creative ways to utilize in-game mechanics.

This strategy is so simple that I can’t believe I haven’t seen it before. It’s a fantastic way to rotate out of the storm while taking as little damage as possible. All you need is a rocket, a Harpoon Gun, and a partner.

Unfortunately, the Reddit user who posted this tutorial deleted it afterward – either that or it was removed by a moderator (we can’t embed a repost). The good news is that it’s incredibly simple to explain.

All you have to do is rocket ride your partner while they’re holding a Harpoon Gun. They will then drag free v bucks generator you along with their Harpoon Gun while they fly into the storm. It’s as simple as that.

Of course, there are several ways that you can mess this up. You can shoot the rocket too high and your partner could miss a Harpoon Gun shot – leaving you stuck in the storm.

As a last resort, though, this is a phenomenal way to rotate into a far zone. It’s going to take some practice and a few fails, but I’d be surprised if we don’t see 72hrs try this in a scrim.

Thanks to Fortnite data miner ShiinaBR, we now know when the Fortnite Birds of Prey event is happening.

February 6 at 7 p.m. ET is when you can expect the event to go down. According to ShiinaBR, there will be new challenges to complete (most likely themed to the movie and the DC comics universe) that unlock a new skin style and two new pickaxes in the item shop. Even ShiinaBR says to take that info with a grain of salt, though. That said, their source has provided 100% correct info in the past, so here’s hoping it’s accurate.

What skins and challenges are in the Fortnite Birds of Prey event?

Like we mention above, data miner ShiinaBR’s source says that we’ll get “challenges that unlock another style” and two new pickaxes in the item shop.

Obviously, something that would fit in Harley Quinn’s wardrobe is in order, but other Birds of Prey characters have some unique looks, too. Maybe a purple Huntress costume, maybe Black Canary’s jacket? Oooh, what if we got Ewan McGregor’s Black Mask? That’d be mighty fun.

Fortnite is still the biggest game in the world — if not quite in terms of audience, then in terms of attention and revenue. According to Nielsen’s game-industry research arm, SuperData, Fortnite brought in a staggering $1.8 billion in revenue in 2019. That’s down a quarter from 2018 — when it earned a record-setting $2.4 billion, as Variety reports — but it’s still about $200 million more than its closest competitor, Nexon’s Dungeon Fighter Online.

It’s evidence that Fortnite’s popularity is finally stabilizing. In the last year, it’s gone from surprise, world-rending phenomenon to normal household activity. That’s reflected in the kinds of partnerships Epic Games, Fortnite’s developer, has been striking. In 2019, Fortnite teamed up with everyone from John Wick to the musician Marshmello to the Avengers themselves. And the game ended the year on a massive Star Wars promotion, with a trailer that premiered exclusively on the Fortnite battle royale island.

Those promotions have meant more money and more hype; they also help get players to spend money on Fortnite’s battle pass and its cosmetic items, which are a huge source of revenue. How traditional video game companies are adapting

This year, it saw greater success with mobile titles like “Mario Kart Tour” and “Dr. Mario World.”“The purpose of our mobile business is to expand the number of people who have access to our Nintendo IP,” Nintendo told CNN Business in a statement. “We are always exploring new ways to bring our franchises and characters into the mobile space in ways that fit that type of gaming experience.”Nintendo also launched its own digital subscription service in September 2018, which costs $3.99 for a single month or $19.99 for 12 months. Players must pay for the service to play games together online, including the latest Pokémon titles.Marketing has also gone digital, and video game publishers have ventured into influencer deals and hosting splashy esports tournaments and glitzy annual video game conferences. People who play and discuss video games on Amazon-owned platform Twitch drive much of the conversation about new games.”Livestreamers on Twitch and YouTube are the gatekeepers and the tastemakers, and so that extensively changes how publishers reach their target audiences,” said Joost van Dreunen, managing director at SuperData, a Nielsen company that analyzes the video game industry.Companies are also doubling down on their own social presence. The Pokémon Company launched a 24-livestream in October to promote the new “Pokémon Sword” and “Shield” games. Viewers were able to watch new characters appear in a mysterious, fictional forest. GameStop chief merchandising officer Chris Homeister pointed out that the company was able to boost sales in early November through a Fortnite promotion. Although the game is free, retailers such as GameStop, Amazon and Target sold merchandise and gave away codes to the virtual “Fortnite Minty Pickaxe,” attracting customers who collect in-game cosmetics.Companies are also trying to make physical copies worth buying, similar to how CDs these days may include a fan poster to boost sales. Physical copies of games can be decked out with exclusive merchandise and retail for higher than the usual price of $59.99.For example, “Persona 5” is getting a Royal version for the PlayStation 4 next March that costs $89.99, and it will include much of the original game but with new content and collector’s items. “Gears 5,” published by Xbox Game Studios, was packaged as a Collector’s Edition retailing $269.99 for in-game cosmetics, a replica of the in-game drone and more.

Epic Games decided to shake things up with Chapter 2

Traditionally, Fortnite players had to scour the map each week for the hidden battle stars or banners, but Epic Games decided to shake things up with Chapter 2. Now, the letters that spell out Fortnite are hidden across the map and teased in weekly loading screens.

For Battle Pass owners who are dedicated to spelling out the name of the battle royale title and ticking off missions, the F, O, R, T, N, and I have previously been made available in-game and quite easy to find, but you’ve got to have the requisite loading screen to trigger their arrival.

The weekly loading screen always hints at the next Fortnite letter to find.

Now, with the start of the Trick Shot challenges, the second letter T is popping up in games with the new loading screen.

Unlike some of the battle stars and banners, these letters have been quite simple to spot on the loading screens, and this week’s T is no different.  

Just look behind the fight, between the 8-Ball and Scratch skins, and you’ll be able to see the T floating under the bridge. Not in the water, though, it is sat above one of the supporting beams.

If you’re still not seeing it, don’t fret, we’ve circled it below.

Now, it’s pretty obvious that the location you want for this challenge is Weeping Woods episode hack. However, there are a few bridges at the point of interest that you might waste some time searching under more than one.

In order to save you a job, though, we’ve pinpointed the exact location on the map below. Simply copy the marker onto your own map in the next match you play, and you’ll be on your way to completing the quest.

Once you’re at the mark, though, you will have to interact with the letter and because it does take a few seconds, you might want to watch your back while doing so.

The centre of the X is where you’ll find the letter T for the Fortnite spelling.

Again, these letters are only for Battle Pass owners, so it’ll only appear for those players, and you will be wasting your time otherwise.

When people use aimbots or other cheat technologies to gain an unfair advantage

A whole new world

High-profile gamers like Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins criticised the ban, claiming it was overly harsh because Kaye did not use the cheat in a competitive match. But Epic Games stood by its decision.

“We have a zero tolerance policy for the usage of cheat software,” a spokesperson for the gaming firm told The Independent.

“When people use aimbots or v buck generator other cheat technologies to gain an unfair advantage, they ruin games for people who are playing fairly.”

Kaye is a member of the FaZe Clan eSports team and was living in an £11 million mansion in the Hollywood Hills with his teammates before the ban.

When Kaye first revealed the ban to his YouTube fans, he included a tearful apology to Epic Games and asked them to reconsider. 

“I’m not trying to find a quick road out but being banned forever is just – a lifetime ban – is just, I just didn’t know this would happen,” he said.

It’s also time for Fortnite’s big ‘Fortnitemares’ event

Halloween is fast approaching and kids are getting ready to go out and wander the streets asking strangers for candy. Truly, this is the hap-happiest time of the year.

It’s also time for Fortnite’s big ‘Fortnitemares’ event, which includes a new Storm King LTM pitting players against a huge mega-boss, new cosmetics and skins, and brand new free challenges and rewards–including this really sweet umbrella.

One of these challenges tasks players with searching a chest at a Haunted Forest, a Ghost Town and a Spooky Farm. For the purposes of this post, we’ll be showing you where to find the Ghost Town.

Unlike the other two locations for this challenge, the Ghost Town is not a Named Location. That makes it a lot trickier free v buck generator to find. Fortunately for you, we have a map:

The title of “Bloody Marie” makes it sound like a splatter picture, but this taut Dutch suspense film has more in common with the jittery “person on the edge episode gems hack” dramas of European filmmakers such as the Dardennes brothers and Michael Haneke. Co-written and co-directed by Lennert Hillege and Guido van Driel, the film focuses intensely on one woman, as she makes a series of catastrophic choices.

Susanne Wolff plays Marie, an acclaimed graphic novelist who hasn’t produced any significant new work in years. Living in the red light district of Amsterdam — and burning quickly through the last of her savings — Marie spends her days trying to hustle publishers into advancing her more money for booze. When that fails, she just swipes what she needs from the corner liquor store.

“Bloody Marie” begins with the heroine about to use up all her last chances — which we then see happen, one by one. She goes too far though when she steals a hefty sum of money from her neighbors, setting up a chain of events putting lives at stake.

The film’s second half is more action-packed, resembling film noir in the way Hillege and Van Driel show Marie racing through the city, scrambling to cover for her mistakes before anyone else gets hurt.

But even at its most pulse-pounding, “Bloody Marie” remains locked on its sympathetically pathetic protagonist, as she hops across rooftops and slithers through windows, all the while muttering to herself, “Stupid drunk, stupid drunk …”’Bloody Marie’In Dutch with English subtitles

‘Spell’

Though it’s less surreal and less terrifying, the indie drama “Spell” is a kind of companion film to the recent horror hit “Midsommar.” Instead of a grief-stricken woman having relationship woes while living with a Swedish pagan cult, “Spell” is about a mournful boyfriend, trying to get over the tragic death of his partner by taking a trip to Iceland — where the locals fill his head with Norse mythology.

Barak Hardley (who also wrote the screenplay) plays Benny, a comic book artist heartbroken by the loss of his alcoholic girlfriend. While drowning his sorrows in Reykjavik, Benny is persuaded to get a mysterious rune tattoo, and then to take a trip into the chilly wilderness with a macho tour guide (Magnús Jónsson). In the middle of nowhere, the hallucinations begin.
